Ok so admittedly Evgeni Malkin is one of my favourite players in the NHL. The Pittsburgh center can score and defend with the ability to pull off that - 'WoW' moment - more often than others. Those die hard fans will remember the backhand he scored a few season back against Carolina that left hockey fans absolutely gob-smacked.
In hockey this is a pretty filthy goal. So dirty that you want to watch it over and over again... Maybe you'll agree?
Malkin had a pretty bad knee injury last year and he spent the off season in Russia do a lot of rehabilitation. There were some videos of him swimming, stickhandling and doing up to 2 ice sessions a due with resistance chords and other interesting training techniques. The result...an Evgeni Malkin who is playing some picturesque hockey at present. A pleasure to watch and one of the reasons I personally watch as many Pittsburgh games as possible.
